An epic journey across the belly of the North Atlantic Named in homage to Jules Verne’s ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’, this extraordinary expedition is a potent mix of adventure, science and exploration. You will do something entirely unique in the history of ocean exploration: You will traverse the North Atlantic basin, picking out an undersea route from Europe to North America, where Verne’s most famous ocean adventure began.
As you make your way across the Atlantic, your team will collect samples and undersea imagery that will be used by the expedition’s team of scientists to add to our knowledge of the Deep. By your last dive, you will view your world – and your life – with new eyes. We live in a future that would have amazed Verne himself. The ‘20,000 Leagues’ Expedition reveals an ocean brimming with hidden marvels, unexpected dangers and trillions of dollars of untapped resources. Up to 8 diving places are available on this 35 day expedition. Two individuals may apply to share a single place, consisting of 15 dives in total. Cost: 375,000 USD Important Note: This is a real expedition of considerable scale and scope. It is best suited for individuals who are highly confident and self-directed, and who have an interest in geographic exploration and/or science. Previous expedition experience of some kind is strongly recommended (although not necessarily deep-sea diving) and participants must be in good health. Ship-board amenities, food and accommodation will be very comfortable, but not luxurious. You can choose not to be featured in the film based on the expedition if you prefer.
