DSV DEEPOCEAN QUEST REFIT WELL UNDERWAY

The newly named DeepOcean Quest is currently being extensively renovated in Gulfport, Mississippi, USA.

The main engines have this week been removed along with other machinery and systems. Two new 1600 hp Cummins engines will be installed in the vessel.

Naval architects and interior designers are working hard together to transform this little ship into a very comfortable and luxurious expedition ship. It is expected she will be re-launched in August 2005 and head straight to the Galapagos/Cocos Islands to begin work.
