Each expedition will offer diving participants the extremely rare opportunity to journey to a depth of 12500ft (3800m) in order to explore the liner R.M.S. Titanic during the centennial year of her sinking. Participants will spend a pre-departure night in St John's in order to attend the introductory expedition dinner prior to boarding our expedition vessel for the 350nm voyage to the Titanic site.  

Our arrival will be marked by a short ceremony to commemorate the loss of this fine ship, and then our dive operations will commence. During the dive series, participants will enjoy specialist lectures, observe the Mir submersible programme in action and enjoy international class cuisine with their fellow expeditioners.  

In order to secure a place on an expedition, participants will need to place a deposit with us. The deposit schedule will be as such:

1) $10000 as an initial deposit (August 2011).  
2) $20000 due by October 31st  2011.
3) $29900 due 120 days prior to the expedition.

If a participant cancels after the initial deposit and before October 31st 2011, a non-refundable booking fee of $2500 will be retained. 

If a participant cancels after October 31st 2011 and before 120 days prior to their expedition, 50% of the monies shall be refunded.

If a participant cancels within 120 days of the expedition, no refunds are due.
Deep Ocean Expeditions strongly recommends that all potential participants ensure they have trip cancellation insurance in place.

Additional information will be available in August prior to calling for initial deposits.

We thank you for your interest in diving to the RMS Titanic in 2012.  This is a poignant year for us as it marks the end of our Titanic operations;  we can think of no better finale than to voyage back to 'The Ship of Dreams" in her Centenary Year.
